Characteristic PA66 plastics have higher melting points in polyamide materials. It's a semi-crystalline-crystalline material. PA66 also maintains strong strength and stiffness at higher temperatures. PA66 plastics are still hygroscopic after molding, the degree of which depends on the comb of the material,
wall thickness and environmental conditions. The effect of hygroscopicity on geometric stability must be considered in product design. Various modifiers are often added to improve the mechanical properties of PA66. Glass is one of the most common additives, sometimes added to make it more resistant to synthetic rubber. PA66 plastics have a low viscosity and therefore a good fluidity (but not as good as PA6) . This property can be used to machine very thin components. Its viscosity is sensitive to changes in temperature. The shrinkage of PA66 is between 1% ~ 2% . The shrinkage of PA66 can be reduced to 0.2% ~ 1% by adding glass fiber additive. The difference of shrinkage in the process direction and in the direction perpendicular to the process direction is large. The melting point of thermal property of PA66 plastics is the temperature of crystallization melting. The melting point of crystalline polymer PA66 plastics is b. According to the test b, the melting point fluctuates in the range of 259 ~ 267 °C. The melting point of PA66 plastics measured by DTA is 264 °C. The melting temperature range of nylon-66 is 246 ~ 263 °C if the temperature at which the volumetric expansion coefficient shows its maximum value is taken as the melting point. Approximate theoretical melting temperature 259 °C. INJECTION MOLDING CHARACTERISTICS OF PA66 PLASTICS DRYING TREATMENT: If the material is sealed before processing, there is no need to dry. However, if the storage container is opened, drying in hot air at 85C is recommended. If the humidity is greater than 0.2% , 105C, 12 hours of vacuum drying is also required.
