PET 是乳白色或淺黃色、高度結(jié)晶的聚合物，表面平滑有光澤。在較寬的溫度范圍內(nèi)具有優(yōu)良的物理機械性能，長期使用溫度可達(dá)120℃，電絕緣性優(yōu)良，甚至在高溫高頻下，其電性能仍較好，抗蠕變性，耐疲勞性，耐摩擦性、尺寸穩(wěn)定性都很好，但耐電暈性較差。PET分為纖維級聚酯切片和非纖維級聚酯切片。①纖維級聚酯用于制造滌綸短纖維和滌綸長絲，是供給滌綸纖維企業(yè)加工纖維及相關(guān)產(chǎn)品的原料。滌綸作為化纖中產(chǎn)量最大的品種。②非纖維級聚酯還有瓶類、薄膜等用途，廣泛應(yīng)用于包裝業(yè)、電子電器、醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生、建筑、汽車等領(lǐng)域，其中包裝是聚酯最大的非纖應(yīng)用市場，同時也是PET增長最快的領(lǐng)域。
