一般的HDPE熔點(diǎn)為142℃，分解溫度為300℃；注塑溫度的可調(diào)區(qū)間較大。注塑時(shí)，一般使用溫度為180℃--230℃；因是烯烴類(lèi)塑料，它不吸水，生產(chǎn)時(shí)，不需烘干，但為了產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量，可用60℃溫度烘干1hr，以排出浮水；聚乙烯的熔體粘度大，流長(zhǎng)比小，薄壁制品可能缺膠，因此，澆口和流道相對(duì)較大；制品易帶靜電，表面易吸埃。收縮率為16‰；溢邊值為0.05mm。

深入納米碳酸鈣對(duì)HDPE的增強(qiáng)增韌研究結(jié)果表明：a.納米級(jí)碳酸鈣在未經(jīng)表面處理的情況下，與HDPE仍具有一定的粘接作用力，對(duì)HDPE有增強(qiáng)增韌作用；b.現(xiàn)有表面處理劑對(duì)納米碳酸鈣與HDPE相界面粘接作用的改善不大，但能促進(jìn)碳酸鈣粒子在基體中的均勻分散，顯著減少碳酸鈣增強(qiáng)增韌HDPE的用量。表面處理的碳酸鈣在含量為4%~6%時(shí)，復(fù)合材料的沖擊強(qiáng)度即可以提高1倍，同時(shí)其屈服強(qiáng)度及模量也均有所提高。研究Caco3/HDPE復(fù)合體系時(shí)觀(guān)察到輕質(zhì)碳酸鈣填充HDPE的斷口形貌為典型的“帶狀結(jié)構(gòu)”，重質(zhì)碳酸鈣填充HDPE為“絮狀結(jié)構(gòu)”，兩者都有利于材料韌性的提高，但“帶狀結(jié)構(gòu)”吸收的沖擊能不一定比“絮狀結(jié)構(gòu)”的高。
